Connect2Hackney are currently recruiting for an experienced NEC Business Analyst on behalf of the London Borough of Hackney. You will play a central role in driving system optimisation, scoping, and multi-module implementation to ensure operational requirements align seamlessly with system capabilities.
As our subject matter expert on the NEC system, you will bridge the gap between operational teams, technical leads, and third-party vendors. You will lead discovery, process mapping, and user testing across multiple system modules concurrently, ensuring high quality implementation and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Scoping: Facilitate discovery workshops with business stakeholders to capture, analyse, and refine detailed requirements for NEC modules. Translate operational needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria. Perform end-to-end "As-Is" and "To-Be" process mapping, completing gap analyses to evaluate native NEC functionality against business needs.
- Module Integration & Design: Analyse data flows, business logic, and cross-module dependencies for seamless data exchange. Collaborate with technical leads, solution architects, and third-party vendors to validate technical designs. Manage project scope by assessing change requests against delivery boundaries and business impact.
- Testing, UAT & Implementation: Build comprehensive test scenarios, UAT scripts, and traceability matrices across individual NEC modules. Coordinate business users through UAT execution, managing defect logging, prioritisation, and resolution. Author user guides, standard operating procedures, and training documentation to support change management and system adoption.
Requirements
- Direct hands-on experience working with and configuring the NEC system.
- Proven background analysing, mapping, and implementing multiple system modules concurrently.
- Strong workshop facilitation, process mapping, and functional specification writing skills.
- End-to-end UAT execution experience, including defect management and test script design.
