To undertake post-contract commercial duties across several small work programmes within the council's housing adaptations service. To provide commercial management and post-contract support for adaptation works delivered through:
- Council-funded adaptation programmes
- Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funded works
Contracts are based on the Measured Term Contract 2016/2024, incorporating amendments and a bespoke Schedule of Rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving scheme costs at pre-start and at grant stage
- Valuing completed works and certifying payments
- Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and Schedule of Rates
- Providing commercial advice and support to project officers and managers
Workload
Approximate monthly valuations across all workstreams and tenures: £500,000. Multiple workstreams across council and private sector adaptations.
Essential Experience
- Quantity Surveying experience within housing repairs, maintenance, adaptations, or similar construction programmes
- Strong post-contract administration and valuation experience
- Experience of Schedule of Rates-based contracts
- Knowledge of Measured Term Contracts (MTC) or similar term-based arrangements
- Ability to work independently
