An opportunity has arisen for a child-focused practitioner to come and join our established team of Front Door Advisors. Front Door Advisors play an integral role in Dudley Children’s Front Door and do not need to be social work qualified. The Front Door is the first point of contact for most families and professionals - whether over the phone or through our online portal.
A typical day in the life of a Front Door Advisor could be a variation of any of the following:
- Review the referrals that have been submitted through the Portal and progress as required - depending on the content and concerns.
- Review and progress the contacts allocated to you and prioritise them in order of concerns and oversight given by the Advanced Practitioner / Team Manager. These are progressed through telephone conversations with families, young people, and professionals.
- The outcomes can include signposting to services in the community, or a referral to Targeted Early Help or the Family Hub, or it may be that advice is required.
- Complete Information Requests from a variety of sources.
- Liaise with MASH Partners to obtain information or to advise Partners of Community resources.
