Job Title: Service Manager - Front Door, MASH and EDT Location: Dudley (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months Pay: £450 per day Role Purpose: To ensure timely and effective decisions for children are made when they are referred to Children's Services To ensure that children's needs are met effectively out of normal office hours To effectively engage the local partnership to ensure they fully engage in effective decision making for childrenJob Description: · Provide sound leadership, direction, priority and pace for all children's staff for the delivery of high quality social work practice. · Support a performance culture that delivers results through rigorous challenge, professional support and a determination to ensure continuous improvement in meeting the needs of children and families in Dudley. · Maintaining effective systems for monitoring, reviewing, auditing and evaluating staff against service objectives through regular performance activities for example high quality supervision, and taking appropriate corrective action as necessary. · Promote cross - organisational service working with other agencies and partners to enable an integrated approach to service delivery. · Support Heads of Service to produce reports and presentations for a wide audience including elected members, project boards, cabinet and council committees etc. · Contribute to the development of the strategies, policies, procedures and processes relating to one's own profession area and accountability, taking into account the views of all stakeholders. · Lead and support a process of continual improvement of children's social care to contribute to improved life chances for children, young people and their families. · Support workforce planning through recruitment and selection, retention, NQSWs/ASYEs, talent management and succession planning. · Ensure all staff receive a comprehensive induction programme, high quality supervision, annual performance reviews and continuous professional development. · Effectively manage a service budget, ensuring spending is within agreed limits and timescales.Key Requirements Social work qualification Professional registration with Social Work England (SWE) Significant experience leading and managing front door services including MASH and EDT Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brierley Hill DY5 1LW Connect2Dudley is a trading style of Dudley & Kent Commercial Services LTD - A joint venture between Dudley Metropolitan Council & Commercial Services Kent Ltd.
