We are proud to be an ethical, trustworthy, and caring organisation. About the Role We are currently seeking a HGV Driver to join the Waste teams in Dorset Council. This position involves driving a Category C (Class 2) vehicle and assisting in the collection of household and commercial waste and recycling across the local area. You will work as part of a crew, providing an essential service to the community, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer care are always upheld. Key Responsibilities Safely operate refuse collection vehicles in compliance with road safety and council regulations Carry out routine vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy Drive designated routes to collect domestic, commercial, and recycling waste Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure routes are completed efficiently Report any issues such as missed collections, blocked access, or vehicle faultsConnect2Dorset is a trading style of Dorset & Kent Commercial Services LLP - A joint venture between Dorset Council & Commercial Services Kent Ltd.
