About the Role
We are seeking a Driver Supervisor to join Dorset Council's Transport Service based at the Old Radio Station Depot in Dorchester. This temporary position is due to commence in October and is offered on a 37-hour per week basis, working a shift pattern between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a key operational role responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the transport fleet, supervising drivers across the county, and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Council policies and procedures.
- Managing and supporting a team of approximately 65 home-to-school and adult day centre drivers
- Acting as the main point of contact for operational queries
- Coordinating fleet and staffing resources
- Providing front-of-house support at the depot
