About the Role/Responsibilities: The Home First Occupational Therapy Team has recently expanded in response to the growing demand for support with hospital discharges, active recovery, and reablement packages. We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Occupational Therapist to support this growing and busy team. This role involves working closely with our partners across health and community services to build strong collaborative relationships that positively influence individual health and care outcomes. The OT team is a vital part of the Home First Social Care Team, operating across all areas of the county. Each team member maintains links with all three area clusters, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to service delivery. This means that the suitable individual will need to be able to complete visits across the county. The position is based at county hall, Dorchester and office-based working alongside WFH can be supported.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Enhanced Adults DBS (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • SWE (HCPC) Registered
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • 3 years post qualified experience within the UK
  • Have access to a car and be willing to travel
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, research findings and the application of psychological and human development theories.
