About the Role
You will be supporting Dorset County Hall's internal on-site café, taking orders, providing customer service, preparing meals and drinks, serving food, and taking payments. This is a busy and friendly environment where teamwork and excellent customer care are essential. This temporary role is covering an employee absence and is expected to last for a minimum of 3 weeks. There may be an opportunity for the assignment to continue beyond this period depending on recovery and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Taking food and drink orders accurately
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks and meals
- Operating the till and handling cash/card payments
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café and kitchen areas
- Restocking supplies and assisting with stock rotation
- Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation
