About the Role

We're looking for a dependable Resorts Driver to support the local council in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming resort areas across Lyme Regis and West Bay. This outdoor role includes driving a council vehicle and carrying out a range of tasks to keep public spaces tidy for residents and visitors throughout the busy season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a council 3.5T vehicle to complete daily routes across resort areas
  • Collect, empty, and check wheelie bins and outlying bins
  • Litter picking, sweeping, weeding, and general grounds maintenance
  • Reporting hazards, damaged bins, or maintenance issues
  • Transporting waste to appropriate disposal sites
  • Maintaining vehicle and equipment cleanliness
  • Engaging politely with the public when required
  • Following all safety procedures and daily schedules

Working Pattern

  • 4 on / 2 off rota
  • Shifts vary between 06:00 and 19:00, depending on location (West Bay or Lyme Regis) and seasonal demand
  • Weekend and Bank Holiday working required
  • Role runs until Sunday 4th October
