We are looking for talented graphic designers to support our existing design team, working on site, at our offices on the outskirts of Nantwich. This is not your standard graphic design role. We are offering a varied role working with accessible print media in different formats such as large print and screen readers, with full training provided. We are seeking a designer who is enthusiastic, methodical, and efficient. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, can work well under pressure, whilst paying close attention to detail.
Our aim is to improve the lives of those with sensory impairments as we continue to expand throughout the UK and into the international market. This role is office based, in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Duties include:
- Typesetting documents to make them suitable for end users who are sensory impaired.
- Producing documents in line with UK and International accessibility standards.
- Producing graphical content following specific brand guidelines.
- Creating accessible PDFs and Word documents.
- Creating accessible large print documents.
- Producing accurate print-ready documents.
- Assisting the printing and manufacture of documents within our production department.
- Working across multiple client style guides and to agreed service levels.
- Working within a team setting.
- Working on internal marketing materials.
- Liaising with the proofing and quality control departments and making amendments as required.
- Achieving a high standard of work.
- Working on additional tasks as required by line management and directors.
Key skills & attributes:
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (focusing on InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Degree in Graphic Design/other technical design degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and work to deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
- Collaborative and willing team player.
- Able to commute daily to our office based in Nantwich, Cheshire.
