Procurement Category Lead – IT & Analytics, financial/Insurance end-client Procurement and supply chain consulting: dedicated partnership with a leading UK insurer · Location: City of London, 3 days a week onsite + 1 day a month at the consultancy’s office · Salary: £90k–£110k + benefits · Permanent, full time Your mandate Own the commercial strategy for technology and analytics, from SaaS and data feeds to hardware, telecoms and DevOps tooling. Work directly with technology leaders to improve value and reshape the supply base while helping build our client’s founding team. What you’ll do Set the direction * Own the IT & Analytics category roadmap, delivering savings, efficiency and wider business value. * Improve pricing, licensing and demand management. Lead the big deals * Engage technology and business leaders early and translate technical needs into sourcing strategies. * Lead high-value, complex sourcing projects from initial requirements to contract signature. * Mark up and restructure contracts, supported by the commercial legal team. * Optimise the IT supply base to reduce duplication and spend. Make suppliers better partners * Build supplier relationship management with key technology partners to improve performance and innovation. * Manage IT third-party risk with InfoSec and Third Party Risk. * Support regulatory and compliance reporting for the COO. What you’ll bring * 8+ years’ strategic procurement or category management, with 5+ years in IT. * A strong record of negotiating SaaS, data, hardware or managed services deals across a wide range of values. * Confident contracting skills and good working knowledge of commercial law. * Credibility with CIO/CTO-level stakeholders and technical teams. You’ll stand out with: * financial services or specialty insurance experience; * knowledge of ICT regulation such as DORA or PRA outsourcing rules; * experience with data and analytics vendors
