Job Summary

An exciting and rewarding role within a well-established company. The position requires the QS to provide detailed cost planning and estimates for capital works to include managing site abnormal and risk.

Job Role

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Warrenpoint

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of contracts, from tender through to final account.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cashflows.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and claims.
  • Administer contracts ensuring compliance with terms.
  • Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior management and clients.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance evaluation.
  • Support compliance with housing regulations, health & safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, design, and client teams to achieve successful project delivery.

Qualifications And Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS accreditation preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (maintenance, refurbishment, or new build) preferably in Education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC Forms of Contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of financial and commercial awareness.
  • Strong IT skills, including cost management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • 5 years experience in construction industry.

Health & Safety

  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times.
  • Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately.
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed.
  • Observe & follow all manual handling practices.

In addition

  • As the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations, we will require a recent Access NI certificate CTS will perform a Access NI check as part of the on-boarding process.
