Specialist Insurance Adviser

Connect Talent Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Insurance Adviser to join a growing specialist insurance business based in Spinningfields, Manchester City Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic insurance team specialising in Commercial and Non-Standard insurance, working within a fast-paced environment where customer service, sales and achieving the right outcomes are at the heart of the role.

The Role

As an Insurance Adviser, you will be a key point of contact for customers whose insurance products are transitioning to the business.

You will primarily handle non-standard home insurance enquiries, using your product knowledge and sales experience to understand customers' requirements and identify the most suitable insurance solutions.

The enquiries you manage will develop into a sales pipeline, which you will be responsible for effectively managing alongside new business enquiries to ensure sales targets and KPIs are consistently achieved.

You'll be responsible for

  • Handling inbound insurance enquiries and providing professional advice.
  • Identifying customer requirements and finding appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Delivering excellent customer outcomes throughout the sales process.
  • Working towards and achieving new business KPIs and sales targets.
  • Ensuring all activity is carried out in line with FCA regulations and data protection requirements.
  • Providing a high standard of service across every customer interaction.

About You

We're looking for someone with at least 1 year's experience within Personal Lines insurance, combined with strong sales and communication skills.

You will ideally have

  • Excellent sales, telephony and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities.
  • The ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to work compliantly within FCA regulations and data protection policies.

Desirable experience

The following would be advantageous but are not essential

  • Experience using the Acturis broking system.
  • Experience within Non-Standard Home Insurance.
  • Experience within Commercial Insurance.
