Our Client is a key supplier of capital equipment to the oil & gas industry worldwide. As part of their expansion, we are seeking to take on an experienced project/proposal engineer. This represents exciting opportunities for Sales Proposal engineers who feel that work in a smaller company in a highly commercial environment is of interest to them.

Responsibilities:

  • To take customer enquiries and interpret requirements in terms of technical specification, delivery date and commercial conditions.
  • To prepare designs using company products & procedures.
  • To carry out costings & review commercial terms.
  • To prepare proposal documents including data sheets, equipment descriptions, calculations and pricing and submit them within the due date specified by the customer.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and follow proposal through to a conclusion, attending meetings & sites as required.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to senior staff.
  • Resolve technical clarifications.
  • Undertake commercial negotiations.

Experience:

  • The candidate could be a graduate from an Engineering background (Chemical or Mechanical) or hold a HNC/HND as an absolute minimum.
  • They will preferably have experience working for an equipment vendor within the Oil & Gas Industry although a recent graduate may be suitable.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK with no restriction on international travel.
