Our client is looking for an experienced Draughtsman with AutoCAD experience and a wealth of experience in the Petrochem / Oil & Gas sectors, probably gained as a Mechanical Draughts-person.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Petrochemical Industry Mechanical Draughting
- Piping / Skid Design & Layout
- Pressure Vessel and stack design draughting
- AutoCAD 2D & 3D familiarity
- General MS & Windows IT skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for production of (mainly) AutoCAD drawings of the company’s products
- Liaison with other Technical Staff such as Project Engineers & Document Controller
Product Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of all the company’s product lines
- Thorough understanding of technical design of the company’s product lines
- Knowledge of Company’s Document Control System
Procedures/Quality System:
- Responsible for adherence to the company’s policy on quality
- Responsible for adherence to company, departmental procedures and work instructions
- Report any deficiency detected within the quality system to the immediate supervisor
Design:
- Active role with mechanical engineering and drawings for project execution which includes the preparation/review of engineering drawings and associated contract documentation
Project Management:
- Required to work closely with Project Managers to produce required drawings & documents
