Overview *We are looking for a permanent HGV Class 1 Driver, to start ASAP, preferably August 2026.*
1 drop, no handball. Double deck trailer. 2am start. Monday to Friday.
The position requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Working for a very professional family wholesale business based in NG2 Nottingham.
*Duties*
* HGV Class 1 lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies * Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely and professional manner * Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to safety protocols * Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues * Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs * Maintain communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays * Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver background * Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience * Familiarity with flatbed operations is highly desirable * Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving * Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo * Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks
Pay: £33,150.00 per year
