Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
- Operate electrical and mechanical plant within the Dartford River Crossing (Tunnels and Bridge).
- Prepare and deliver work briefings, highlighting hazards, risks, and control measures.
- Manage work activities ensuring methodology adherence.
- Complete detailed debriefs at shift end to resolve issues.
- Scout sites including A282, A2, and M25, ensuring tasks meet standards.
- Allocate resources for vegetation clearance, litter picking, strimming, mowing, and weed spraying.
- Manage contractors, including signing in, inductions, RAMS, permits, and isolations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in risk assessments and method statements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and engage workforce for continuous improvement.
- Manage depot fleet, including driver hours, vehicle defects, and fleet reports.
- Implement toolbox talks, safety alerts, DWB’s, and new procedures.
Who we’re looking for
Essential qualities/experience:
- CSCS card holder – Supervisor
- Experience in highway maintenance within time and cost targets
- Knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards in highways
- Proficient in IT systems
- Current UK driving license
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear briefings and maintain records
