At Connect Plus Services, we play a vital role in maintaining the safety, integrity, and smooth operation of one of the UK’s most important transport routes—the M25 DBFO (Design, Build, Finance, and Operate) Network. We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Level 0 ISU Operative to join our team at Blunts Farm. In this role, you’ll be on the front line of keeping the network safe and operational, supporting efficient service delivery through incident response, hazard clearance, maintenance, and other key operational tasks.

Expected to work the shift pattern (days, nights, weekend, and bank holidays) to meet
operational requirements.
• Shift pattern is 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off, to include weekends and bank holidays.
• Reasonable level of travel around M25 network and between depots
• Travel to meetings, training and works sites outside normal operational area.
• Expected to participate in out of hours working to fulfil Winter Maintenance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of our frontline team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the M25 remains safe, clear, and operational for all road users—day and night.

You’ll be the first on the scene to respond to road-related incidents, hazards, and collisions, acting in a Bronze incident command capacity and calling on specialist support when needed. Working in line with our policies and safety procedures, you’ll help ensure swift and effective clear-up, enabling traffic to keep moving.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include a broad and rewarding mix of tasks such as:

Carrying out safety patrols, debris clearance, and responding to incidents

Performing routine maintenance activities like graffiti removal, street cleansing, and sign repair

Supporting emergency traffic management when required

Participating in winter service operations, helping to keep the network safe in challenging conditions

Completing vehicle checks and maintaining accurate driving and safety records

Using mobile devices to log data and complete reports clearly and accurately

Attending required training to keep your skills sharp and your knowledge up to date

You’ll also help maintain our fleet and equipment, report any issues that could impact safety, and take care of company property such as vehicles, radios, and tablets.

Who We’re Looking For – Key Requirements

We’re looking for someone who’s committed to safety, teamwork, and delivering essential services that make a real impact on the road network. If you meet the following requirements, we’d love to hear from you:

A valid UK driving licence, minimum Category C (LGV Class 2)

A current Driver Qualification Card (DQC)

A valid CSCS Operative Card

Level 2 NVQ in Highways Maintenance, including Licence to Practise (LTP)

ROLO Sector Scheme 18 certification

Unit 518 (Winter Service Operations) and Unit 580 (Snowplough/V-blade operation)

Vehicle Marshall training

Completion of 12AB IPV (Impact Protection Vehicle) Courses

Competency in using a disc cutter/abrasive wheel
