Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Engineer/Supervisor to join the small workshop team. Our client is seeking someone who can take ownership of the workshop floor, keep production moving efficiently, support the team and help maintain the high standards our customers expect. The role would suit somebody with a strong engineering background who enjoys problem solving, organising production and being involved in projects from start to finish.

The role:

  • Take ownership of the day to day running of the workshop and production activities.
  • Manage the repair and manufacture of engineering components and hydraulic cylinders.
  • Plan workloads and production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Support and supervise workshop staff.
  • Ensure quality, safety and housekeeping are maintained.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding ongoing work and project progress.
  • Assist with technical problem solving, job planning and continuous improvement.
  • Manage larger engineering projects through manufacture and completion.

Job requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production engineering, workshop management or manufacturing role.
  • Strong engineering and manufacturing background.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
