Our client is seeking to recruit a Mobile Site Technician (Site Fitter) to join their team. This is a hands-on, field-based role covering the South/South East area, attending customer sites to assess issues, carry out repairs, service silos and associated equipment, and support the safe and efficient operation of site systems.
Our client is a major player in the industry with over 25 years of UK industry experience, and is a market leader in delivering high-quality dry silo mortar systems.
This role is based on a 48 hour per week contract, Monday to Friday, and will involve regular travel to sites, working from a company van, and logging work carried out using a mobile app. On occasion, there may be a need to work away from home with overnight stays depending on the work scheduled.
Duties will include:
- Servicing and repairing mobile silos and related equipment
- PAT testing control panels
- Supporting the commissioning and preparation of silo systems
- Assisting customers on site or by phone
- Providing training to site staff on the correct use of equipment
Full training will be provided, although experience in a similar role would be beneficial. This role would suit someone who is practical, proactive, and able to manage their workload effectively. As the role is customer-facing, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A full UK driving licence is required, and mechanical and/or electrical understanding would be an advantage.
This is a varied and rewarding role that would suit someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems on site, and delivering a high standard of service to customers.
