Responsibilities

  • Drive a range of vehicles (manual and automatic) safely within dock and compound areas
  • Park vehicles in designated storage areas following site plans
  • Carry out basic visual inspections for vehicle condition and damage
  • Follow all site safety procedures and traffic management systems
  • Work as part of a team to meet operational deadlines
  • Report any damage, faults, or incidents promptly
  • Comply with all health & safety regulations and procedures

Requirements

  • Needs to be over 22 years of age
  • Full UK driving licence (typically held for at least 3 years)
  • Confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles
  • Ability to manoeuvre vehicles in tight and busy environments
  • Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced dockside environment with constant vehicle movement
  • Outdoor work/inside work in varying weather conditions
  • Shift-based schedule depending on vessel arrivals
  • Physically active role (walking between vehicles, standing for periods)
