Our comprehensive services cover everything from design to installation, ensuring reliable utility connections for our clients nationwide.

We’re now looking for a Junior Estimator to join our growing team and help shape the future of utility services, based out of our Head Office in Hedge End, Southampton. As a Junior Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of our Estimating Team supporting in the preparation of competitive and negotiated quotations for multi-utility projects. Your role is key in ensuring accurate, timely, and customer-focused submissions that support business success. Key skills:

  • Prepare detailed, multi-utility cost quotations using standard templates and accurate pricing methods.
  • Identify and interpret customer requirements to ensure first-time-right estimates.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers throughout the quotation process.
  • Utilise CRM tools for quotation tracking, reporting, and customer engagement.
  • Support strong customer relationships and participate in client meetings as needed.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree preferred, but A-levels and relevant experience considered (e.g., 1+ year on-site electrical work).
  • Some experience in estimating, preferably in utilities or construction is a plus.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good awareness of utility networks and regulated industry environments.
  • Customer-focused with proven delivery performance.

Additional:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with CRM systems (training provided).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Passion for learning and growing in the utilities / construction industry.
