Connect it Utility Services is a leading provider of electrical and multi utility infrastructure services, delivering works across the UK. Working in partnership with Distribution Network Operators such as SSEN, we undertake safe, compliant and high quality overhead line construction and maintenance to support secure supplies to customers. We are currently seeking LE1 and LE2 Overhead Lines Persons to join our delivery teams on the SSEN Distribution Network framework. This role is central to the construction, maintenance and enhancement of LV, 11kV and up to 33kV overhead line assets, with a strong focus on safety, technical excellence and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the construction, maintenance and refurbishment of overhead lines and associated plant, connections and earthing systems
- Undertake authorised live and de-energised works on LV networks and overhead lines up to and including 33kV, in line with SSEN Electrical Safety Rules
- Install, connect, disconnect, remove and re-site portable generation equipment as required
- Remove and replace links and fuses on the LV distribution network
- Complete earth resistance, continuity and supply point testing, along with conductor height measurements using approved equipment
- Undertake vegetation management activities to maintain statutory and safety clearances
- Safely operate plant, mechanical aids, tools and portable equipment
