Procurement Officer
Location: Blandford, Dorset, UK

We have partnered with a dynamic, fast-moving, entrepreneurial business and are seeking a Business Procurement Officer to become an integral part of their team.In this role, you\’ll be at the forefront of all supply chain activities, from strategic component procurement and shrewd supplier negotiations to meticulous stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead buying activities for goods, ensuring best value and technical specification alignment.
- Research and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate, maintain, and develop strong supplier relationships.
- Manage the full purchasing cycle, including purchase orders, quotations, supplier issue resolution, and Sage 200 records.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, managing excess/obsolete stock, stock takes, and replenishment.
- Create and maintain essential records like part numbers, Works Orders, and Sales Orders in Sage 200.
- Provide hands-on support for product build, testing, packaging, and dispatch.
- Ensure strict adherence to ESD procedures and IPC-A-610 standards.
Essential Skills:
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Solid knowledge of SAGE or similar ERP systems and robust stock management procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and organisational skills and good manual dexterity.
- Work Authorisation / Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for UK Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency).
