We are seeking a Head of IT to lead the technology function for a top client who works in the manufacturing industry. This is initially a 6-month contract focused on overseeing a robust IT infrastructure that supports global supply chain operations, specialised e-commerce platforms, and internal digital transformation. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical execution and executive strategy, ensuring our bespoke client-facing platforms and internal ERP systems remain secure, scalable, and high-performing.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and refine the current IT roadmap to ensure it aligns with the company’s 2026 growth and sustainability objectives.
- Maintain a secure, resilient network environment, ensuring robust cybersecurity protocols and data protection compliance are upheld across all sites.
- Manage third-party service providers, software licensing, and the IT departmental budget to ensure maximum ROI.
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and proactive problem-solving.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the internal ERP and CRM systems are fully integrated with logistics and warehouse operations.
Requirements & Experience
- A track record of delivering results in 'Head of' or 'IT Director' roles.
- Experience in Logistics, Distribution, or Managed Services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with complex supply chain technology is a plus.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture (Azure/AWS), ERP systems, and B2B web portals.
- Ability to assess technical debt quickly and provide clear, actionable recommendations to the Board.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into business terms.
