We’re excited to be supporting a leading ventilation and ducting manufacturer with an exciting engineering hire. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team that supplies high-quality ventilation solutions used nationwide and internationally, driven by innovation, sustainability, and customer excellence.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist / Workshop Engineer to play a key role in supporting both workshop and maintenance engineering activities across the production facility. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same, you’ll be involved in machining, general engineering support, and preventative/reactive maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes and manual milling machines to manufacture precision components
  • Support workshop engineering tasks including fabrication and modification of parts
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment and plant
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and deliver effective repairs in a timely manner
  • Work alongside the engineering team to improve processes and machine uptime
  • Ensure workshop and machine safety standards are upheld at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, with competent use of manual lathes and manual mills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance engineering
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Practical workshop skills including fitting, fabrication, and problem solving
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
