We are looking for a Junior IT/AV Engineer to join an established team based in the heart of Bath.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between core network infrastructure and commercial office spaces, this is a field/in office based role.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure enterprise-grade local area networks (LANs), virtual local area networks (VLANs), secure firewalls, routers, and high-performance wireless access points designed to handle heavy media streaming and automation traffic.
- Integrate complex multi-room audio, and Video-over-IP distribution systems onto the client network.
- Oversee or assist with clean network rack layouts, structured cabling standards, hardware labeling, and the creation of accurate as-built system documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date, secure firmware across all network-connected devices, switches, routers, and control processors to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and system programmers to ensure smooth deployment phases and client handovers.
Requirements
- 6-18 months of hands‑on experience in IT support, network administration, systems integration, or AV work.
- Ability to logically troubleshoot multi‑vendor systems and diagnose intermittent faults under tight project schedules.
- Excellent verbal skills to clearly explain technical issues or system operations to project teams and high‑end clients.
- High standards for physical cable management, documentation accuracy, and configuration cleanliness.
