This position supports small batch CNC turning of high-precision transmission components, primarily within motorsport and aerospace sectors. You will work as part of a small, focused team, with support from offline programming systems.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and route cards to manufacture components to high-quality standards within specified timeframes
  • Experience operating CNC lathes, including:
  • Victor Turn II 26 HD
  • Leadwell LTC 25iL (Siemens 828D)
  • Doosan Puma GT3100
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls (essential); Siemens control experience advantageous
  • Ability to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds
  • Good understanding of turning tooling and correct application
  • Advantageous: experience with manual lathes and/or Harrison Alpha 400 Plus NC lathe
  • Comfortable working within a small team environment
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Flexible to support other areas of manufacturing when required
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet delivery requirements
