Working for this large multinational energy business, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of up-to-date energy market information to gas and power customers, producing market reports in a timely manner, whilst maintaining an exceptional standard in terms of data accuracy and written commentaries.
The team you would be joining are based on the trading floor itself, so you will be operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; therefore, excellent communication skills and the ability to perform with 100% accuracy is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
- The creation and development of a suite of daily and weekly market reports to customers in the European entities:
- Daily reports that display price movements from the previous session and include a commentary discussing market drivers in that session.
- Within Day Updates that show intra-day price movements and a brief market commentary.
- Weekly Reports that provide a week-on-week comparison of each market and market commentaries explaining the drivers behind the price movements.
Ideal qualifications, skill sets and experience:
- Strong academic background with a numerate, technical or energy-focused degree.
- Experience in a commercially focused role within a UK gas/power business would be ideal.
- Solid numerical ability and attention to detail/deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner and confident personality.
- Strong Excel and VBA skill sets.
- Fluency in the German language both verbal and written is essential.
