Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Motherwell (Eurocentral), covering end-of-life tyre collection routes across Scotland. Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.
Temporary to permanent opportunity:
- Monday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am depending on route
- £15.23 per hour, rising to £20.30 per hour after 48 hours, paid weekly
- £26.20 overnight allowance - overnights available at least every second week
As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
- Collecting end-of-life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across Scotland
- Manually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depot
- Completing all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accurately
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection points
The ideal Class 2 Driver will have:
- A valid Class 2 licence - new drivers welcome
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the role
