We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Shuttering Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing formwork (shuttering) used in concrete structures, ensuring accuracy, safety, and high-quality workmanship on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and assemble timber and plywood for concrete formwork
- Install and dismantle shuttering systems for walls, columns, beams, and slabs
- Ensure all work is completed to technical drawings and specifications
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on site
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades
- Inspect completed formwork for accuracy and stability before concrete pouring
Requirements
- Proven experience as a shuttering joiner (formwork carpenter)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent certification)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors
- Own tools and PPE preferred
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Formwork/Carpentry
- Experience on large-scale construction or civil engineering projects
