Connect Appointments are working with a company experiencing a strong surge in demand who require a Workshop Fitter in Cumbernauld on a temporary-to-permanent basis!

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Pay rate: £14 to £14.50 per hour (PAYE)

Ideally, the successful Workshop Fitter will have experience of working in a manufacturing environment and be happy to work within a variety of areas of the business. You are not required to be a skilled tradesman in all areas, but having a variety of skills will benefit your application.

Other beneficial skills, competencies and expertise preferred. We do not expect you to have all of these but you would need some of these skills:

  • Mechanical trades experience (such as plumbing, electrical and joinery)
  • Follow basic assembly drawings
  • Experience with circular saws and routers
  • Basic joinery, measuring and cutting, basic electrical wiring, basic plumbing
  • Light gauge steel fabrication work
  • Plastic welding, fabrication and mechanical assembly
  • Valid forklift and driving licence could be beneficial but not essential
  • CSCS card preferred
