Job Description

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for a Weighbridge Operative to join our clients Newbridge based team – full-time temporary position.

What's on offer:

  • Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 to 19:00 & Possibly Saturday, 7am to 12pm
  • 13.01 per hour – paid weekly
  • Temporary ongoing position
  • Full training provided

Working as a Weighbridge Operative your role will involve the accurate and efficient weighing and recording of incoming raw materials and outgoing vehicles. Combined with:

  • Ensuring vehicles are loaded to the correct delivery details
  • Working with production teams to ensure materials are routed to the correct location
  • Assist the quality team with inspecting and retaining samples of materials
  • Controlling access to the site, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Complete all relevant documentation

Successful applicants will ideally have previous experience working within a logistics or similar environment. Previous experience within a Transport environment would be advantageous, although not essential as full training will be given.

You will have the following skills and traits:

  • The ability to demonstrate excellent administration and data processing skills
  • Previous experience of working to strict procedures and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Strong IT literacy skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office systems
  • Excellent administration and organisational abilities
