Connect Appointments has a new opportunity for an experienced Semi-Skilled Engineer (with an electrical bias) to undertake work with our Polmont-based client.

Working as a Semi-Skilled Engineer your duties will include, but not be limited to, providing essential support to the production process by providing maintenance and machine-minding support. You will also be responsible for:

  • Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools
  • Responding to day-to-day maintenance requests
  • Providing assistance in projects
  • Carrying out planned maintenance checks

To be successful within this Semi-Skilled Engineer position you will ideally have at least 5 years' engineering experience in a similar factory environment. Possession of relevant qualifications is a must (minimum of NVQ3).

Other skills and traits that would be beneficial include:

  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance and engineering work
  • The ability to quickly and accurately conduct fault-finding activities
  • A valid driving licence (essential)
  • Able to understand both written and verbal instructions
