Connect Appointments are seeking an individual with experience in a production environment to get started as a Quality Control Assistant with our Livingston based food manufacturing client.

What's on offer?

  • 5 days over 7 - including weekends
  • £12.21 per hour - paid weekly
  • Maternity cover till May 2026

As a Quality Control Operative, you'll ensure that production standards are met and maintained for all goods. Performing checks on random samples from a production line to ensure all products, labelling and packaging meets customer specifications.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conducting quality inspections, assessing quality and ensuring compliance to customer and product specifications
  • Recording results and allocate according to the customer requirements
  • Labelling and packaging checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Producing detailed reports on quality issues found, and communicating to managers
  • Calibrating production equipment

To be successful in this Quality Control position, you'll have previous experience within a quality control environment - ideally with a background in food manufacturing. Combined with the following:

  • Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Be computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
