Connect Appointments are working with our new engineering client in Aberdeen, and are on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time permanent position, with a salary of £50,000 per annum, plus a range of company benefits.

Working as a Project Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Undertake the management of projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015
  • Estimating of projects as per customer enquiries, scope of works, specifications and requirements
  • Planning and management of projects from initiation to completion
  • Creation, management and maintenance of all required HSEQ documentation for the projects
  • Customer liaison, meetings, reporting and communication
  • Undertake HSEQ site audits and compile reports
  • Organisation and management of sub-contractors relating to the projects
  • Management of AJT site supervisors and site personnel whilst onsite
  • Project document control and certification
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all times
  • Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules and specifications, company/divisional work instructions and forms at all times
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • SVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualification, ideally combined with preferred experience working in a mechanical, fabrication or piping engineering environment.

Other key skills, traits and experience include:

  • Preferred experience working on CDM worksites
  • Preferred basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001
  • Preferred Full clean driving licence
  • Ability to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Possess computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft software packages
  • Possess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organisational ability and time management skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced conversational and written English/high level interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Able to work away from home as required
