Job Description
Connect Appointments are working with a well-established manufacturing company in Kirkcaldy to recruit an experienced Pipefitter for their growing team. This is a great opportunity for long-term work with excellent overtime potential.
What's on offer:
- Full-time hours – 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm (with an early Friday finish)
- 21 per hour (overtime up to 31.50)
Working as a Pipefitter, your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting technical schematics and engineering drawings
- Trimming, cutting and fitting components using hand and power tools
- Welding and soldering components accurately
- Aligning and securing parts with bolts, screws or fasteners
- Using collaborative robots (cobots) to assist in production tasks
- Identifying and repairing faults in assemblies
What we're looking for?
- Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in mechanical assembly
- Steam service experience required
- Proficiency with welding equipment and assembly tools
- Ability to understand technical documents and drawings
- Manual dexterity and a detail-oriented approach
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Good awareness of safety procedures and use of PPE
- UTR number required (must be provided if successful)
