Job Description:
Connect Appointments is currently seeking an experienced Factory Operative to join our client\’s team in Bishop Auckland. This is a permanent opportunity in a well-established manufacturing environment.
What\’s on offer:
- Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Regular hours (Monday to Friday – no weekends!)
- Starting rate of £12.21 per hour (potential increase after 3 months)
Key responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machinery (beam saws, edge banders, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organised, and Health & Safety-compliant workspace
- Contribute to a productive and positive working environment
- Operate a forklift in a safe and controlled manner
What we\’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a factory role, preferably in kitchen or wood shop factories
- Forklift licence – this is essential
