Connect Appointments is recruiting a qualified Chartered Accountant to join an established accountancy practice based in the Central Belt of Scotland. Travel between offices will be required in this role, therefore a valid driving licence is essential.

What's on offer?

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Up to 35,000 per annum

As a Chartered Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Preparing statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Completing corporation tax and personal tax returns accurately and on time
  • Managing your own client portfolio and acting as primary point of contact
  • Assisting with VAT returns, bookkeeping and reconciliations where required
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and management accounts when relevant

The ideal Chartered Accountant will have:

  • Experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • CA, ACCA or AAT qualification, or QBE with proven experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, partnership tax and corporation tax
  • Confidence to manage your own time and take ownership of client work
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel (experience of Xero or Sage is beneficial)
