Connect Appointments are seeking an experienced Commercial Catering Equipment Engineer to join and strengthen our client’s team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday (overtime available), throughout the North East of England.
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will be around Commercial Heating Controls and Installation. As such, you will:
- Carry out maintenance inspections, repairs and servicing of commercial plant room equipment
- Attend reactive, diagnostic and repair calls to commercial gas appliances and plant
- Complete associated commercial gas certification documentation in line with industry requirements
- Participate in an emergency call out rota system
To be successful within this position, you will ideally be COMCAT’s 1, 3 & 5 qualified, and competent to work on all types of equipment that can be found in a commercial kitchen and food servery area. You should also be competent to work with all makes and types of gas & electrical commercial catering appliances. Commercial gas pipe work experience would also be advantageous.
A Driving Licence is preferred.
Combined with a competitive salary depending on experience, you will benefit from a company van; 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays); double time on bank holidays, Sundays, and after 12 on Saturdays.
