Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an experienced Coded Welder with experience in TIG and/or STICK welding, to join and strengthen our Kirkcaldy based manufacturing client.
What's on offer?
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00 - with an early Friday finish
- £21 per hour - paid weekly
- Overtime available - paid at £31.50 per hour
- Immediate starts available
As a Coded Welder, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team, working alongside other experienced professionals who are engaged in safely carrying out welding and welding related activities within a production environment. Your duties as a Welder/Fabricator will include, but are not limited to:
- Read detailed schematics for complex machines
- Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product
- Weld and solder pieces together
- Maintain welding plant functionality
- Align components and connect them with bolts and screws
- Work with collaborative robots to produce and assemble components
- Find faulty components in defective products to fix them
- Continually improve processes where required
To be successful within this Coded Welder role you will have previous welding or fabricating experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment, combined with the following skills and traits:
- Be detail-orientated with a methodical approach to working
- Previous experience with various welding equipment
- Ability to use electrical or manual tools
- Understanding of technical documents and drawings
- Manual skills and a steady hand
- A good level of fitness and resilience
- Knowledge of basic safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
