Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for an experienced QA Technician to join our established client's quality team in Broxburn, West Lothian.
What's on offer?
- Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate
- Weekly pay of 12.70 p/hour (increasing to 13.28 after probation)
- Your shifts will be day shift - working on rotation
Please Note: During your probationary/training period you'll work Monday to Friday (6am to 2.30pm), for the first 1-2 months.
Working as a QA Technician, your duties will include:
- Doing regular quality and safety checks during production, including labels, temps, dispatch and key control points
- Make sure all chemical and micro samples are taken on time and sent off to the lab
- Carry out start-up checks to confirm the factory is clean and ready to run
- Check and calibrate monitoring equipment
- Spot, record and help sort out any products that don't meet standards
- Support the site team in keeping good hygiene and GMP standards
To be successful in this QA Technician role, you'll ideally have previous experience in food or meat manufacturing, but not essential as full training is provided. Other key skills, traits and experience includes:
- Have a positive, proactive attitude with good attention to detail
- Be a confident communicator who's comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Be committed to high standards and always looking to improve
