The Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Class 2 HGV Driver to join our professional removals team based in Sherburn in Elmet. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. Alongside driving duties, the role involves daily porter and labouring work, supporting the safe and efficient removal, transport, and delivery of customers’ belongings.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle for removals, deliveries, and collections.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning of furniture and household goods.
- Carry out daily porter and labouring duties, including lifting, carrying, and handling items with care.
- Ensure goods are protected and transported safely, following company procedures.
- Carry out vehicle checks and maintain driving logs in line with legal requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service on-site, acting as a professional representative of the company.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and ensure smooth removals operations.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
- Current CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience in removals, logistics, or a labour-intensive role (preferred but not essential).
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting on a daily basis.
- Strong teamwork skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations and road safety.
