Connaught Education are currently working with an independent prep school in Camden, who are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Early Years Practitioner for a September start. Please see further details about the role.

This is a key leadership position within the nursery team. You will:

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality early years education for children aged 2-5
  • Lead curriculum planning and implementation, ensuring learning experiences are creative, stimulating, and inclusive
  • Monitor children's development and ensure teaching strategies meet the needs of all learners
  • Collaborate with the Head and Deputy Head and work closely with families and external agencies
  • Support and mentor staff, ensuring a strong and reflective early years team

Key Requirements

  • A relevant qualification (EYTS, QTS with EYFS specialism, or equivalent graduate-level early years qualification)
  • Extensive experience working with children aged 2-5
  • A proven track record of leading early years teams
  • Deep knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding practices, and quality learning environments
  • The ability to make accurate assessments and plan effectively for individual children
  • A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach
