A leading independent senior school is seeking a proactive and skilled DT Technician to support a successful Design & Technology department. Working with pupils aged 13-18, you will play a key role in supporting GCSE and A Level Product Design projects and ensuring the smooth running of well-equipped workshops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons
- Supporting students with coursework and prototyping projects
- Maintaining workshop machinery and resources across wood, metal and plastics
- Assisting with CAD/CAM, including laser cutting and 3D printing
- Managing stock, ordering materials, and maintaining equipment records
- Promoting high standards of health and safety in the workshop
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong practical workshop skills and confidence using machinery
- Experience with CAD software and digital fabrication tools
- Knowledge of workshop health & safety procedures
- Good organisational skills and a collaborative approach
- Previous school experience is desirable but not essential.
