Some people see a plate. You see comfort, care, and a little moment of joy delivered three times a day. We’re looking for a thoughtful, hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join the hospitality team at Connaught Care—a luxury, all-inclusive care home group that believes exceptional care starts with the little things, like a warm meal served with pride (and much more). With six beautifully designed homes already open and six more in development, Connaught is one of the UK’s most ambitious care providers. Our residents enjoy five-star living—and behind every beautifully plated dish is someone like you, making sure everything tastes and runs smoothly, safely, and with heart.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support our Chef de Parties, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs with food prep, service and kitchen cleanliness
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout each shift
  • Help plate and present meals with care and consistency
  • Keep the kitchen well-stocked, organised and running like clockwork
  • Assist with washing up and general cleaning duties to ensure smooth service
  • Be a warm, friendly presence behind the scenes—residents will notice your energy, even if they don’t see you

What You’ll Bring:

  • A genuine passion for food, service, and helping others
  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team
  • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene (we’ll support your training if needed)
  • A quiet pride in a job well done—even when no one’s watching

You’ll be part of a supportive team in a beautiful environment, with access to training, development, and daily job satisfaction that goes far beyond the kitchen door - oh and you'd earn way more than you would at any of our competitors, inside or outside the sector! If you believe good food and kindness go hand in hand, and you want to be part of something that truly makes a difference—we’d love to hear from you.
