Qualifications

  • You have grant fundraising experience
  • You are reliable, honest and trustworthy
  • You have excellent IT, numeracy and communication skills
  • You enjoy working as part of a team
  • You will be enthusiastic and keen to learn new things

Responsibilities

  • Proactive identification of potential funders for projects
  • Complete grant funding applications from inception through to post‑grant requirements
  • Advise on other possible fundraising opportunities and strategies
  • Liaise effectively with other members of the Unit Management Team and Unit Staff
  • Engage with local businesses and organisations and fundraising awareness groups
  • Engage with the Marine Society & Sea Cadets national fundraising team
  • Attend a regular UMT meeting – usually 1.5 hours, monthly, on a weekday evening
