Join us as a Fundraising Trustee and help support young people at Connah’s Quay Sea Cadets. Use your creativity and connections to raise funds, secure grants, and build community support so our cadets can enjoy life-changing experiences on and off the water.
Qualifications
- You have grant fundraising experience
- You are reliable, honest and trustworthy
- You have excellent IT, numeracy and communication skills
- You enjoy working as part of a team
- You will be enthusiastic and keen to learn new things
Responsibilities
- Proactive identification of potential funders for projects
- Complete grant funding applications from inception through to post‑grant requirements
- Advise on other possible fundraising opportunities and strategies
- Liaise effectively with other members of the Unit Management Team and Unit Staff
- Engage with local businesses and organisations and fundraising awareness groups
- Engage with the Marine Society & Sea Cadets national fundraising team
- Attend a regular UMT meeting – usually 1.5 hours, monthly, on a weekday evening
