Job Summary
The Service Centre Engineer is responsible for the servicing and repair of CONMED’s capital equipment, ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures, compliance standards, and customer expectations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and Repair: Perform timely repairs and servicing of CONMED’s capital equipment, including diathermy machines, smoke evacuation units, and insufflators. Accurately diagnose faults and repair small precision assemblies and electrical components. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure high standards of repair.
- Customer Support & On-Site Maintenance: Conduct on-site visits for planned maintenance and support. Assess customer requirements and escalate findings to the Service Manager. Respond to customer enquiries professionally and timely.
- Continuous Improvement & Flexibility: Suggest operational enhancements and provide flexible support during staff absences. Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to meet critical deadlines.
- Process Compliance & Equipment Management: Prepare quotations and management reports. Monitor calibration of service-related test equipment. Maintain the workshop area in accordance with 5S standards. Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.

Education / Qualifications
- Essential: Engineer related NVQ Level 3 or higher with an emphasis on electrical engineering. A full, valid UK driving licence.
