What makes this role special?
As Spa Operations Manager you will work alongside both the Spa department Heads and Spa General Manager.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operation as well as ensuring the facility consistently maintain its luxury standards and will be the first point of contact for all queries. You will also be responsible for the delivery of the highest level of customer service to guests and members.
This role will include carrying out duty manager shifts taking responsibility for the smooth running of the spa and supporting other departments where required.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the Spa, Leisure, Fitness and associated areas, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Leading, motivating and developing the Spa Host, Reception and Fitness teams, creating a positive, high-performing culture focused on exceptional guest and member experiences.
- Maintaining exemplary Health & Safety and compliance standards, including wet-area management, water testing, equipment safety, statutory training and operational procedures.
- Delivering an outstanding luxury guest and member experience, proactively seeking feedback, resolving concerns and identifying opportunities to continually enhance service standards.
- Managing staffing and workforce planning, including rotas, holidays, absence, recruitment, induction, training, performance conversations and appropriate staffing levels.
- Overseeing fitness and wellbeing operations, including classes, member inductions, fitness instructors, wellness events and wellbeing retreats.
- Supporting the commercial performance of the Spa, monitoring budgets, sales and utilisation, developing packages and event costings, and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Maintaining exceptional operational standards, completing regular departmental inspections and working closely with Maintenance to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to the required standard.
- Supporting the Spa General Manager with the ongoing development of the business, including operational planning, SOP development, meetings and representing the Spa General Manager when required.
- Acting as Duty Manager when required, taking responsibility for the entire Spa operation, supporting teams across all areas and ensuring effective communication and resolution of operational or guest issues.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a confident and inspiring operations leader who is passionate about wellness, hospitality and guest experience.
You will be:
- An experienced Manager within a premium spa, hotel or wellness environment
- A hands-on leader who enjoys being present in the operation and supporting the team
- Passionate about wellbeing, luxury guest experiences and high service standards
- Commercially minded, with experience managing targets, budgets, retail performance
- A strong communicator who can coach, mentor and motivate a team
- Highly organised with experience managing rotas, treatment bookings and operational efficiency
What you’ll receive
Up to £32,500 per year + service
40 hours per week
