Build the marketing operating system behind one of the world's leading museums.

Congregation is partnering with the V&A to appoint a Senior Manager, Marketing Planning.

Great marketing doesn't happen by accident.

It happens because someone creates the clarity, structure and focus that enable great teams to succeed.

The V&A is transforming how marketing works across its family of museums.

This role will build the planning, prioritisation and ways of working that make that transformation possible.

The opportunity

You’ll work directly with the Head of Marketing & Insight to create the frameworks, processes and strategic thinking that underpin everything the department delivers.

You’ll define

  • How exhibitions are planned.
  • How audiences are prioritised.
  • How budgets are allocated.
  • How success is measured.
  • How marketing decisions are made.

In short, you’ll build the operating system that powers the department.

Who we’re looking for

This isn’t an agency planning role. We’re looking for someone who understands how client-side marketing organisations work and is obsessed with making them better.

You might currently work in retail, media, travel, hospitality, visitor attractions or another complex consumer organisation. The sector isn’t as important as the fact that:

  • You enjoy creating order from complexity, designing frameworks, solving organisational problems and helping others make better decisions.
  • You’re curious, analytical and commercially aware.
  • You care as much about improving how marketing works as the campaigns themselves.
  • Why this role matters

Very few marketing planning roles offer the opportunity to reshape an entire department.
